Prep Course

For Children 3 & 4 years old

Imagine how less stressful your life would be if your 3 or 4 year old controlled their behavior, was better able to focus and pay attention and followed the rules at home.

Our Little Ninjas Prep Course (Pre-Ninjas) is where we'll help socialize your child. What does that mean? Well, we'll teach your child how to properly interact with other children, learn to control their impulses, follow rules and pay attention (focus). And, we'll improve their physical skills.

Many times, this program is a young child's first time being in a group setting. Interacting with other children is important once they enter school. Our Prep Course will help your child learn, for instance, to wait their turn. That's big for a 3 year old. When we ask "Who's next?" during a "game", a new 3 year old will usually raise their hand, stand up, say "Me" and walk right up to the instructor. It only takes a few times letting them know they have to wait their turn for them to learn that lesson.

Children at this age do what they want to do, when they want to do it and get out of their way when they do. Moving out into society, its important for them to begin controlling their behavior and stop acting impulsively. Our class structure helps do just that. Our instructors are always reminding the students (if a nice way) about the rules they should follow if they want to play the games. These reminders ("You have to sit like a Ninja to play the game") are what will teach your child they have to learn to control themselves to get what they want (playing the game). In other words, for them its follow the rules and you'll be rewarded.

Paying attention (focus) is something most parents wonder if their child will ever learn. Little children are usually all over the place. Many times its just a matter of a few short weeks that they become noticeably more focused. Our games specifically teach our students to focus on what they're doing. They have to listen to the instructors to learn how to play the game (focus on the instructor). They have to sit "like a Ninja" to play the game (focus on their behavior). They work to do the game correctly (focus on the task).

Our Little Ninjas Prep Course is designed to prepare your child for our Little Ninjas (5 & 6 year olds) Program. Once they're closing in on their 5th birthday, we'll see if they've developed the proper skills (focus, control their behavior, etc.) to interact with the older kids. Once they're ready emotionally and physically, they move up to the Little Ninjas classes and begin an exciting new part of their experience at FEAR KNOT Martial Arts For Kidz.
